A new 2016 Christmas rock n roll track has been written, created and then recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main purpose of bringing awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charities and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket website .
The songs name is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks is a special up-tempo rock/rock-pop track. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo track since then awaiting the chance to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the recording process and used local session musicians to record the track over a six week period. The songs consists of 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the female lead artist ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the USA due to Mark needed the very best result and quality. The track is currently ready to be heard and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The main purpose of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day web site as we are able to and then hopefully in-turn they’ll be kind enough to give to 1 or all of the Phuket charities, and to also download the track.
Another main goal is to have enough downloads of the music to fund and create a Phuket live music pub with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, which will offer free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged children from the local schools and children’s orphanages. Currently ‘La QingTing’ isn’t open right now but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day site to advertise his track Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own particular experiences while he was working in Patong back in 2004 when the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. As with ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there’s numerous ways to greatly help including a Phuket island Accommodation and cheap flights to Thailand booking system. Every cent helps.
