The Galaxy Note10+ could be the biggest Galaxy Note Samsung’s released it’s potentially the one with all the fewest differences looking at the smaller Galaxy S siblings, also. Even size doesn’t are a great deal of differentiator anymore, because six-month-old Galaxy S10+ is often a scant few millimeters shorter and narrower compared to the mighty Note10+. This is how I’ve ended up after with all the phone for a few weeks, i just can’t shake that comparison.
For your stylus die-hards, the Note remains without meaningful competition. Improved on-screen handwriting recognition and further remote camera control features keep the S Pen feeling fresh (in principle), though you aren’t going to no matter what game-changing updates within the Note9 there. The Note10+ does pack some year-over-year upgrades worth speaking about: battery is a touch under 10% larger, and the screen features a little over 10% more floor. There exists a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and twice the storage and RAM – 12GB, a quantity whose usefulness outside technical marketing is questionable – and you have the first true fast charging within a flagship Samsung phone (25W with all the included charger, 45W if you purchase the ultra-fast charger). You also get an ultrawide rear camera, a better selfie camera, and Samsung’s controversial in-display fingerprint scanner.
On paper, then, the newest Note is a real step-up from last year’s. The thing is that a lot of upgrades debuted around the Galaxy S10+ recording, which phone has gone on discount frequently that Samsung’s $999 MSRP simply doesn’t apply. Using the Note10+ coming in at an eye-watering $1100 while an S10+ has frequently been offered for $800 or fewer, Samsung’s biggest competition appears to be to get itself. Whilst the stylus-faithful probably aren’t considering that value proposition, for those who simply bought the Note since it was the ideal Samsung phone, it’s increasingly difficult to ignore.
