This innocuous book came to my attention in 2005 and possesses undergone my hands many times since. I had created no inclination to peruse its contents for I needed ceased to think in miracles. In 2005, I was cursing God for abandoning me. I became using all my energy to stop the hell I descended into 20 years earlier by marrying a male as un-Godly anyone could be.
In 2007, while packing some books as donations for a book fair, my hand yet again fell on “A Course in Miracles”. By this time, I needed secured divorce from my better half but had been working with the fallout. When i grasped the book, I became very thoughtful and calm. That which was it about this book that invoked feelings I hadn’t experienced in a very long time? Me clung on the book refusing that will put it down. Realizing that it was a sign i should take particular notice, I designed a cup of tea and sat within my favorite reading chair. With great curiosity, I centered on the blue hardcover and read “A Course in Miracles, a foundation for inner peace.” Wow. That was a fairly bold statement but okay, I chose to bite. Choosing a deep breath, I pondered the obvious question: What’s the foundation for inner peace? This book instantly opened a classic wound and it had better hold the answer to healing.
“A Course in Miracles” is actually that, a course. Designed in three parts, this book is just not to be taken lightly and can’t be read per week or even a month. There is certainly text, a workbook for students plus a manual for teachers. I had the sudden urge to fling the ebook throughout the room since i was deeply and profoundly afraid. I instinctively understood that after I began reading this article book, I used to be going to need to change and was I ready for that journey ahead?
My personal favorite movie is “The Matrix”. The principle character Neo is trying to find the solution to the matrix. He understands the matrix exists but he doesn’t determine what it can be. He together with the answer, Morpheus, contacts Neo and provides the chance for truth by giving Neo an option between going for a blue pill or possibly a red pill. Make blue pill and grow ignorant or go ahead and take red pill and find the solution to the matrix. Before he reaches for his pill of choice, Morpheus cautions Neo that will he find the red pill, they can never go back to living he had lived.
“A Course in Miracles” may be the red pill. Do I read it and alter everything I realize in regards to the world and myself or will i make blue pill making “A Course in Miracles” book fair fodder?
While i choke along the red pill, I flip to Lesson 1 of 365 from the workbook for young students and promptly read, “Nothing on this room means anything”. Oh dear. Is it far too late to accept blue pill?
