I’m not sure when i got word of awakening mind. I understand that we purchased the novel in March 2009 since i wrote the date in the cover.
When I attemptedto read it, however, I merely cannot comprehend it. The perception of writing was perplexing. The information it contained baffled me. I needed never before encountered such teachings. I wasn’t quite ready correctly and quickly place it aside.
Eventually, a dear friend suggested we form research group to operate around the Course. I believe he only agreed to be as bewildered by it as I was. But his suggestion was wise. He knew we will do together that which you was not capable of alone.
So a small number of us met initially in July 2009. During this meeting, we attemptedto read several pages from the Text — which forms the program with the Workbook for young students and the Manual for Teachers. What we should read for the reason that first meeting made little sense to all of us. It left us frustrated.
Somehow — and that i don’t remember how — we made a decision to turn instead on the Workbook for young students, featuring its 365 daily lessons. We should have been divinely inspired with this decision, given it helped us and possesses continued to operate ever since.
Now, more than 2 yrs later, we’re well in to the Workbook for any second time. The daily lessons and also the words now make sense. Now i look forward to doing the teachings each day once you’ve got my first walk. I look forward to using teachings contained in the lessons into meditation where I could discuss them my spirit guides. I look forward on the weekly study conferences where we review and discuss the teachings we done individually throughout the week.
ACIM has changed my perception of the planet, and that i are becoming dedicated to it. The analysis conferences normally leave me in a condition of bliss, because ACIM is assisting me remember all the stuff I knew when still in spirit but forgot when I drew the veil of forgetfulness over me and incarnated into this physical world.
Here’s one example of precisely how the program changed my perception of the planet: That i used to believe this physical world is real and that it was developed by God, nature, and other forces external to me. Now i understand that I have been previously tricked by my five senses into believing life is real. Now i understand that it absolutely was I who made the form of world I see around me causing all of my experiences inside it. A few things i see “out there” is basically just a projection of what is taking place in my own mind. This physical world can be an illusion, a hologram by which I could play and discover. None than it is real — I managed to get all up!
Thus, I’m to blame for the sort of world I see around me and all sorts of my experiences inside it. I’m not a sufferer of life’s circumstances after all. Most people are not abusing me. God is not punishing me. I see what I see, I experience what I experience, and that i feel what I feel since i settle upon so in my own mind.
There isn’t any reason for going “out there” to alter the product in question in the world. You are unable to control, manipulate, or correct it. This could be like visiting a movie theater and stomping up to destroy the screen because you dislike the movie you’re watching.
The only way to change the product in question on screen is to discover the projector in the back of the theater and change the video. The right way to change the product in question “out there” in the world is usually to change what’s “in here” absolutely need mind. Change your beliefs. Stop judging and condemning. Start to practice unconditional love and acceptance. When you do that, the planet the thing is that “out there” will start to change. You will no longer is going to be stored in unhappiness, pain, and suffering.
ACIM is fairly basic and unequivocal concerning this: You’ll be able to remain asleep with this physical illusion, dreaming that it must be real, so long as that suits you. Or awaken spiritually and discover that you have been asleep in Heaven all along. Jesus Himself asserted Heaven can be used, all over, but we haven’t been able to notice.
