A fresh 2016 Christmas rock n roll track has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the key goal of getting awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charity and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day, Phuket website .
The songs title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs sound is a unique up-tempo rock n roll song. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo song since then awaiting the opportunity to record once again. In August 2016 Mark began the studio recording process and used local session musicians to record the tune over a six week period. The track includes 8 differant tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was made in the USA because of Mark needed the best result and quality. The song ready to be heard and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ web site.
The key goal of recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day site as we can and then we hope in-turn they’ll be kind enough to donate to one or all of the Phuket island charities, and to also download the track.
The other main goal is to be able enough downloads of the track to fund and set up a Phuket live music bar with open stage and studio / training room on Phuket, that’ll offer free classes and tuition to local underprivileged children from the area’s colleges and orphanages. To date ‘La QingTing’ isn’t open right now but the web site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day web site to promote his track Tsunami Day that was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was residing in Patong in 2004 when the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. As with ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there’s numerous methods to help including a Thailand Resort and budget flight booking to Thailand booking system. Every penny helps.
